Without a doubt Casablanca is one of the greatest movies ever made. Produced by Warner Brothers in 1942
Casablanca stars Humphrey Bogart one of the greatest stars who ever lived and Ingrid Bergman co starring Paul Hendrid Claude Rains and Peter Lorre. The Summary of this great movie is cafe owner Rick Blaine (Humphrey Bogart) meets a former lover with unforseen complications. Casablanca is on DVD at some Target Locations but mostly at Barnes and Noble.

Singin' in the Rain (1952)

Filmed in glorious Technicolor Singin' in the Rain is to lots of people the greatest musical ever made starring Gene Kelly, Debbie Reynolds and Donald O'conner. This movie is about a silent screen star (Gene Kelly) who falls in love with a new coming actress (Debbie Reynolds) at the same time of the same time of the film transition from silent to sound. Singin' in the Rain is on DVD some target locations But mostly at Barnes and Nobles.

Libeled Lady (1936)

Libeled Lady is great wonderful funny comedy with a great all star MGM cast Jean Harlow, William Powell, Myrna Loy and Spencer Tracy. This great movie is about where Spencer Tracy keeps on delaying his marriage to Jean Harlow because problems his newspapers must face so for newspaper reasons Spencer Tracy makes Jean Harlow marry William Powell so they have to pretend they are married with each other but they hate it then William Powell has to go on a cruise and while he's on the cruise he meets Myrna Loy and falls in love with her so when does Spencer Tracy marry Jean Harlow what happens to Myrna Loy and William Powell do they get married, you'll have to see for your self. Libeled Lady is on DVD at  Barnes and Nobles but you might have to order it in the store because not that many Barnes and Nobles have this DVD and they will call you when it comes in the store.

It Happened One Night is a great comedy produced and directed by Frank Capra. This movie It Happened One Night Made Clark Gable a big actor, Claudette Colbert a big actress, and Frank Capra a big Director and Producer, Frank Capra later on made other great classics like Mr. Deeds Goes to Town, You Cant Take it With You, Mr. Smith Goes to Washington, and the Christmas classic It's A Wonderful Life.

There has been some similar movies like this, in 1953 William Wyler Directed and Produced Roman Holiday starring Audrey Hephburn and Gregory Peck. This movie was remade in 1956 with Jack Lemmon and June Allyson, the movie was called You Cant Run Away From It, it was a Technicolor Musical.

Easter Parade is a Technicolor musical starring Fred Astaire and Judy Garland. This movie is about Don Hewes and Nadine Hale are a dancing team, but she decides to start a career on her own. So he takes the next dancer he meets, Hannah Brown, as a new partner. After a while this new team is so successful, that Florence Ziegfeld is interested in them, but due to the fact, that Nadine Hale dances also in the Ziegfeld Follies Don says no. Inspite of the fact, that he is in love with Hannah, he keeps the relation to her strictly business. So Hannah is of the opinion, that he is still in love with Nadine, and her suspicion grows, when he dances with Nadine in a Night ClubFloor Show.

Here's the summary

Barneny Hopkins is producing a new show on Broadway, but the day before it opens, the set and costumes are confiscated due to not paid bills. Everybody is sitting on the street and due to depression there is no possibility for the three chorus girls Carol, Trixie and Polly. But they hear rumors, that Hopkins is producing a new show, they invite him and he promises to give them work - when he found a backer to produce it. He hears the tunes of the composer next door, Brad Roberts, Pollys friend. Brad joins them and is backing the show. On opening night he takes over for the juvenile lead, who suffers from lumbago. Roberts has been very puplicity-shy, because he belongs to a wealthy upperclass family from Boston. When his family notices what he is doing, his brother Lawrence and their attorney Peabody come to New York, to end his relation with Polly. But he mistakes Carol for Polly, who does not correct his mistake. Lawrence decides to separate Polly from Brad by drawing her love on himself. But soon he realizes, that he is really in love with that chorus girl.

During the Academy Awards Ceremony in 2007 a commercial came on advertising the new iPhone. This commercial showed actors new and old answering the phone saying hello and in one part they showed a clip from The Maltese Falcon.
This movie was a remake of a 1931 film with the same title. The Maltese Falcon is on DVD at Barnes and Nobles and is also in a Humphrey Bogart Box Set, The Humphrey Bogart Signature Collection Vol. 2 and that box set also includes Casablanca. The (1931) The Maltese Falcon is in the 1941 DVD  release of the The Maltese Falcon.
This movie is on DVD, and also in the Humphrey Bogart Collection Vol.2 at Barnes and Nobles (when a movie is on DVD it's always at Barnes and Nobles if it is not in stock you could store ship it).

At this time Bing Crosby wasn't selling that many records as he did in the 20's, 30's, and 40's because of rock and roll so Bing Crosby at this time was mostly a big musical star.

This movie A Star is Born was a remake of a 1937 Technicolor film with the same title starring Janet Gaynor and Fredric March, these two movies wasnt fully the same in the story the first A Star is Born was about were Janet Gaynor wanted to be just a famous actress, the 1954 version with Judy Garland and James Mason was about were Judy Garland wanted to big a big singer and actress. Besides those differences every thing else is the same except the cast and this one with Judy Garland is in Cinemascope.
